Sheldon Pitt

Sheldon Pitt is from the mystical island of Bimini. As he would describe Bimini, it's "The smallest largest island in The Bahamas". Sheldon spent most of his life traveling around the world, from the islands of The Bahamas to living in the United States, Canada, Europe and Central America, where he sailed for many years. Sheldon started his career in real estate 20 years ago in Toronto, Canada where he bought and sold property (better known as house flipping). After many years of working and living in Toronto, where he financed residential and commercial projects of all sizes, he is a veteran in the real estate industry. Upon returning to The Bahamas, and with his love for the real estate industry, he joined the team at Mario Carey Realty (MCR) in early 2011.

Sheldon's background in house flipping is where he found his passion for real estate. Along with his superior knowledge of the local markets, Sheldon is a single point of contact for all your real estate needs whether you're selling, buying or renting a property. Being an island boy he also has a unique outlook on family island life and knows what a client is looking for when it comes to the family islands. In less than a year in the real estate market in The Bahamas, Sheldon has reached over $1 million in sales. When he is not working with buyers and sellers to find their next dream property, you can find him enjoying outdoor activities such as camping, boating, farming and hiking.

He returned home to accept a post at one of the Big Four accounting firms where he gained insight handling accounts and consulting for diverse clients.

By 2016, Tim did what came naturally – he turned his attention to real estate and was emerging as one of the most productive performers at his real estate firm, Better Homes and Gardens MCR Bahamas Group.

With his outgoing personality and strong work ethic, Timothy is also no stranger to the outdoor life and his love of watersports, fishing and diving. He plays golf and tennis just as he conducts real estate transactions – with competitive spirit and a warm smile.

He credits what he calls “an amazing team spirit” at the firm founded by Mario Carey. At 25, Timothy had already achieved the goal of Top Rookie of the Year in a firm with dozens of agents. Today he has accumulated a large client base, a reflection he says of increasing loyalty based on service, integrity and trust. “Every client I work with, I feel like it’s an honour,” he says.

One year later, in 2019 at 26 years old, Timothy Smith achieved the highest honor in the firm as Overall Top Producer of the Year. He won this award again the year after in 2020.

In 2021, Timothy Smith was appointed as Partner of the firm and has established himself as one of the most respected Real Estate agents in The Bahamas.

Elizabeth Weech

Liz combines her love for education with her passion for property ownership in her dedicated approach to real estate. “Growing up in Jamaica, my family wasn’t able to purchase a home. I became consumed by the dream of home ownership at a young age. That passion still drives me, it’s in my blood. I bought my first home at 27, scared and clueless. It’s one of the best things I’ve ever done.’

Elizabeth represents buyers and sellers with heart; she believes that nothing is more important than her client's success and happiness. It’s about communication, trust, respect and ultimately a great outcome.’ ‘I treat each client and each transaction with the attention and importance it deserves.’

Elizabeth has been a licensed real estate agent and property manager for eight years. She moved to The Bahamas in 1994 and is sensitive to the unknowns and insecurities involved with relocating and buying property in The Bahamas and understands that information and responsible guidance are paramount.

Liz studied Professional Photography with the New York Institute of Photography and Interior Design with the Interior Design Institute. ‘Representing clients well is so much more than opening a door. It takes a keen eye and knowledge of the industry to create winning combinations. That’s what I bring to the table for every client.’

To serve her clients more effectively, Liz has completed professional development courses with the Residential Real Estate Council and the Council of Real Estate Brokerage Managers. She has also attained The Bahamas Realtors Institute designation. Elizabeth pays attention to the details when listing your property on the market and when assessing purchase options. ‘I leverage my contacts in property management to connect my clients to reliable service providers. She publishes real estate content in local and international publications. In her early days in the industry Liz became the only local agent to be featured in the National Association of Realtors, Young Professional Network blog. ``If you want to know more about what drives me, read my heart wrenching article here, it still makes me blush and it still makes me proud and I’m still totally in agreement with, ‘Don’t let it be about the money, let it be about being great!’

"I have been investing in Real Estate in The Bahamas after moving here 10 years ago. I have worked with a number of agents, but I have never been so impressed by someone in The Bahamas until I met Tim Smith. His level of service, his drive and his network of contacts is truly amazing. He knows everyone, and everyone knows him. He has become my go to guy for real estate, he is one of a kind."

"Just for anyone thinking about listing or buying property in The Bahamas. I can only recommend Unni. I could not have been more impressed with her representation for the sale of my lot on Great Guana Cay. She was involved in the clean-up after Hurricane Dorian to make sure that it showed well and kept me aware of any showings that occurred. She was there start to finish. If I should ever look for property in the Bahamas again, I would contact Unni."

"I bought my home with Liz as my real estate agent six years ago. The process was complicated but Liz did everything possible to guide me through it and to ensure a successful closing. We remain in touch to this day. I trust her judgment on real estate without question."
